EMOTIONAL REPAIR  - Ruth Singer
28 March to 24 June

Textile artist Ruth Singer explores personal and universal stories of love and loss, grief and celebration - using stitch as an act of remembrance and as a solace in times of emotional turmoil. New work in the exhibition is inspired by items in the collection and the stories behind these items.

'Exploring Embroidery' on 13th June

We are looking forward to seeing samplers, tambour work, crewel work and embroidery from India, China and the Middle East from the reserve collection, with Curator, Rachel Midgley.  

Miss Rachel, her life and legacy

                                                    Gawthorpe's  Great Lady

The exhibition opens on 21st April and closes at the end of the season - 5th November

It tells the story of how Miss Rachel worked to improve social welfare throughout her life. Selected pieces of her work and various items she collected during her lifetime will be on display.

Gawthorpe Hall reopens

Gawthorpe Hall will re open to the public on 1st April at 12 noon
